Jason Fuerstenberg introduces Momiji for the Mac

Jason Fuerstenberg has introduced Momiji 1.0 for OS X, which lets you manage bookmarks across devices and browsers. A bookmark added from your Mac is directly synced to your iPhone/iPad so your bookmarks are always with you no matter what device you are using, even offline.

Momiji's interface autofills the title and keywords it detects on a given page. This makes it not only easier to classify but to find for later on, according to Fuerstenberg. To make pages visually recognizable, favicons and preview snapshots are displayed.

In addition to the direct Wi-Fi syncing between local devices, you can also sync all of your bookmarks with the Pinboard bookmarking service, even over 3G/LTE networks. Pages worth bookmarking are often also worth sharing, so Momiji supports posting to Twitter, Facebook and Google, as well as sending by e-mail. To reduce effort in adding new bookmarks from Macs, browser plugins for Safari and Chrome are available for free. Support for Firefox and Opera is coming soon.

Momiji requires OS X 10.8 or later. It costs US$7.88 and is available worldwide exclusively through the Mac App Store (http://tinyurl.com/n5e39m4) in the Social Networking category.
