Aquafadas rolls out new AVE AppFactory template

Aquafadas (www.aquafadas.com) -- a developer of digital publishing solutions and creative software for HTML5 creation -- has announced that ePublishers can now consolidate multiple magazines, newsletters, dailies and more publications into a single app using the new Aquafadas multi-title AVE AppFactory template.

A tool that allows independent publishers to create multi-title kiosk apps, the new template lets users manage title purchases via one single app rather than creating a dedicated App for each individual title. With only one app to manage all titles, publishers have many more opportunities to cross-market titles and strengthen brand recognition, says Aquafadas CEO Claudia Zimmer.

Once a customer downloads the publisher’s app, they are able to browse through and purchase titles in one outlet. The Aquafadas multi-title app template offers banners that can be easily managed, says Zimmer. Publishers can target messages or showcase issues, offering a more engaging experience to readers and introducing them to titles they may not have otherwise known about.

Along with the brand new multi-title publishing template now available in AVE AppFactory, Aquafadas is updating its InDesign Plugin to offer additional improvements to the Aquafadas Digital Publishing System. Added improvements include:

° New options for the creation of documents, including the ability to choose from nine new transition effects between pages;

° More options for ePUB generation, including: ePUB Reflow export optimization; creating buttons; and the ability to add pop-ups to accompany text, such as a pop-up of the definition of a particular word.

Part of the series 148Apps Goes Deep on XCOM: Enemy Unknown I’m still haunted by visions of a parallel world (classified as Xbox 360) as it wasn’t long ago that I was in charge of the XCOM project and led a squadron of soldiers against an alien army. Soldiers I grew attached too, including the first Colonel who helped lead us to many victories. | Read more »

Rovio Entertainment, creators of Angry Birds, has a new publishing initiative called Rovio Stars that will see its first titles Icebreaker and Tiny Thief released soon. Favorite Four: Soccer Games
As a soccer fan, I’m getting twitchy. The Confederations Cup might be helping a little, but I miss the English Premier League week in, week out. This is where I sink time into FIFA 13 on my console in order to counteract the problem. What about while on the move, though? Here’s a look at my favorite 4 soccer games, each offering a slightly... | Read more »

148Apps Goes Deep on XCOM: Enemy Unknown
XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be released tonight for iPad and iPhone. And we’re very excited. While XCOM isn’t the first console game to be ported over to iOS, it is one of the most ambitious. XCOM: Enemy Unknown while first released for XBox 360 and PS/3 in 2012, this turn-based strategy game has transitioned to touch controls better than any others... | Read more »

XCOM: Enemy Unknown – Cheats, Tips, and...
The X-Com series, particularly the earlier games, are notoriously unforgiving. Although while XCOM: Enemy Unknown has been modernized, and is therefore more player friendly, it’s no slouch either. In fact, even on the Normal difficulty there’s a good chance you’re going to get creamed if you try to breeze through it. But all is not lost. If you... | Read more »
